That still doesnt give them justice. They are the only species of bear that is known to actively attack humans just because they can. Unlike every other bear that will only attack humans if they feel threatened or are starving.
There's a saying: In a polar bear's mind, there are only four things: snow, ice, other bears, and food.
Polar bears are the apex of apex predators, it simply doesn't make sense for them to fear anything.
Something I remember from years ago rated polar bears as the #2 apex predator in the world with regards to predator to prey mass.
#1 are Orca because they hunt Blue Whales.
I'm sure the Soviets could have figured out a tame polar bear, given enough time.
Why tame them? Just release a couple in enemy camps and let nature take its course.
Well that's the other half. You keep the most aggressive ones in one half of the program, and keep the tamest, friendliest ones in the other half. Just like the foxes.
