I don't see it.
Robert Barnes is the man that said a few months ago that he had insider information that Trump and DeSantis have already made an arrangement to run together in 2024 as President and VP respectively. Barnes then made the claim that DeSantis serves as insurance so the Democrats don't indict Trump. He said that if Trump is indicted then DeSantis can easily win 2024 and can then pardon Trump.
Fast forward to what Robert Barnes is saying in November of 2022. after DeSantis won Florida by 20 points, Barnes starts saying that DeSantis can never win a presidential election and that he should never challenge Trump.
Barnes is a grifter who pretends to have insider information.
Just like Jack Posobiec, Raheem Kassam, Alex Bruesewitz, Larry Schwiekart, Richard Baris and whoever is running the TheLastRefuge account from Conservative Treehouse, Barnes's grift also relies on Trump. All of these grifters have been attacking Governor DeSantis non-stop everyday because they fear that he has the potential to beat Trump in a 2024 primary.
All of these people I listed are grifters who fleece Trump supporters with their tales of how everyone is a RINO but Trump.
Sad to see how many Trump supporters don't see this obvious grift.
I don't agree with your assessment because I've watched him pretty regularly, and the description I got was that DeSantis just isn't going to run. I do remember the insurance thing, but I don't see how that's out of line. If Trump were to be fucking jailed, yeah: DeSantis could run, promise to pardon Trump, and win in a fucking landslide. I don't see how this is a grift.
Dude, what are you talking about? I literally just listened to Richard Baris explain that in his assessment of some of Trump's polls, Trump's criticism of DeSantis backfired, but as distance from the criticism has increased, he's bouncing back some of the approval he lost for the nomination. Not a word of criticism was wielded against DeSantis. I also can't say that I've heard any meaningful criticism against DeSantis from Barnes beyond the fact that there are people trying to fund DeSantis that want to see Trump fail, not an actual criticism of Barnes.
Go take a look at the Twitter feeds of Barnes, Baris, Kassam, Posobiec, Schwiekart, Bruesewitz and Last Refuge and see what they have been generally focusing on since November 9th.
All of these grifters have been attacking DeSantis and sucking Trump's dick in order to push Trump 2024.
I just cheeked Barnes' feed in Twitter for the past 4 days, and there's not even a mention of Ron DeSantis. Like, not even brought up. Whole bunch of stuff on economic news, and he's a prolific re-tweeter... which makes it hard to look back.
Baris, like Barnes, didn't even mention DeSantis recently. I had to go back to November 16 to find this. Which, is pretty fucking milquetoast critique. Yeah, sure, big-money donors expect certain performances. It's not an unfair criticism, but an "attack" on DeSantis? Not really.
As for Posobiec, he's another absolutely ridiculous tweeter. But again, going back to November 30, I didn't see anything on DeSantis. Literally, not one word.
I don't know who these other people are, but to your point I checked out Bruesewitz and this guy seems to be closer to what you're talking about. Going back to November 28, he re-posted a video of a Jan 6. defendant family member thanking MTG for helping when no one else (including DeSantis specifically) would. He posted a poll showing Trump's approval more than DeSantis, and then one other thing. I don't think he's *anti-*DeSantis, but he seems to be taking a more aggressive step. Seems like every day he'll put out a very subtle shot.
Man, I think you're over-blowing the DeSantis hate by most of these people, certainly Barnes, Baris, and Posobiec.
