I live in Texas where we got some big wins but the rest of the country I’m confused. You have people who are upset about inflation and Biden policies but still voted for dems. He will keep pushing the climate cult agenda and I feel bad for those who live where winters get very cold. I truly hope heat isn’t an issue.
I really hope more states address mail in ballots. I guarantee if a democrat lost due to days of ballot drops after the election the media would be screeching. It just seems suspicious. Only people who have mobility issues or the elderly/military should use it. Otherwise I don’t get why votes can’t be counted by the end of Election Day. I love the convenience of early voting but if they made it one day I could take time to vote.
But anyway, life goes on but I’m honestly surprised. I thought red wave wasn’t going to happen but I didn’t expect this. Trans nonsense, climate cult, economic illiteracy, and politicians who care more about criminals than victims. I think abortion made some difference as well and the media but that’s always there. Should people on the right just move to red states? Or maybe we can ban lefties from moving to red states.
I remember a guy here in the Dallas Ft Worth area got mad because after he complained about conservative nut jobs in Texas (he moved from Illinois) I asked him why he moved here. He said he has a right to move where he wants and I said I’m not moving to Chicago and whining about the far left policies there so I don’t like people moving here and trying to change things
So many things fucked the GOP.
Mail in ballot fraud definitely happened in key areas.
Most painful Senate loss is NV senate where Laxalt was a A tier candidate. Harry Reid's ghost and his decrepit machine of Clark county mail in ballots cost us that race.
PA Senate with Oz was a disaster from the very beginning, Philly ballot drops were going to immensely hurt any Senate candidate in PA but Oz was beyond shit as a candidate. So many Republicans thought he was a RINO because he was a Hollywood Oprah affiliated tv doctor. That lost him some real Republican votes.
I am also sure some white working class voters fucking voted for Fetterman because Oz is a Muslim. He definitely lost Republican leaning votes because of his religious background. Now add in philly ballot drops. PA Senate was gone the day Oz became the nominee.
Mastriano was a shit candidate for PA governor who turned off all suburban moderates when he made comments that he thinks women should be arrested for having abortions. He lost by 13 points in a year that was supposed to be red leaning which sunk all down ballot races. PA GOP actually lost the state house and every swing house race in PA.
Arizona obviously has a shitton of fraud since the Dem candidate for governor is secretary of state and overseeing the elections.
AZ senate: Masters was running against a astronaut liar who was skilled at pretending to be moderate. Masters has also made retarded comments like praising the Unibomber as a subversive thinker and talked about reforming social security. Fraud definitely hurt the Arizona races but Master was very flawed as a candidate for the suburbs and elderly voters.
GA: the Libertarian on the ballot fucked Herschel Walker. Herschel walker is a football legend but once again too many suburb cucks thought his out of wedlock children was a problem.
The overturn of Roe v Wade angered all of the whores and they came out in force for the Dems as well.
Every Trump endorsed candidate in a swing house seat depressingly lost. Even in red Ohio where there was minimal fraud, Trumpers like Madison Gesiotto and JR Majewski fucking lost.
Joe Kent lost a Trump +8 seat in Washington since the fucking establishment helped his Dem opponent and Kent kept making unnecessarily incendiary comments about Ukraine that we may think are based but the cuck suburbs despise.
Leavitt in NH lost. Bo Hines in NC lost.
This midterm result was due to fraud, backlash to Roe overturn, shit candidates in swing states and a big suburban backlash to any Trump affiliated swing house district candidate.
Lessons for 2024:
GOP needs to play the ballot harvesting game in states where they don't have the power to ban it.
Must have good Senate candidates in swing states: No Oz or Walker level candidates.
Run non Trump affiliated candidates in swing house districts. Trump affiliated candidates have done terribly in nearly all swing districts.
Also don't fucking run Trump again in 2024. He is incapable of fighting mail in ballot fraud and can't adapt.
DeSantis used early mail in voting to his advantage in Florida.
Trump will lose every swing state he lost in 2020 again and likely also lose Texas and North Carolina in 2024.
Suburbs in Texas just really hate Cruz and Trump. Compare their margins to every other candidate.
The rsearch triangle area in North Carolina will go smurf blue with Trump on the ballot.
I don't really expect any 2024 candidate to win the Presidency without adapting to mail in ballot harvesting but Trump 2024 uniquely maximizes downballot losses and motivates Dems like no other candidate.
Basically we need to become better cheaters than the Dems if we can't ensure honest elections. Everything else is irrelevant. I still find the Trump/DeSantis fights silly because it presumes that actually winning votes matters anymore. I'd agree with you about things like candidate quality and not running Trump if voting actually mattered, but it clearly doesn't. I favor DeSantis myself, but I just don't think that normal political concerns are relevant when the other side is stealing elections in broad daylight.
Ballot harvesting is legal in certain states like CA.
Let me be clear, Republicans must fully play by the differing legal rules of each and every state.
They must ONLY do what is legal in each state.
Republicans have no institutional power.
Republican political operatives need to understand that they will get the book thrown at them for jaywalking.
Congressional Republicans in CA know what to do.
The national Republicans must learn from them.
They'll get the book thrown at them for using on the sidewalk as well. A team of lawyers and a sympathetic judge will happily twist some interpretation of a law to punish their political opposition.
The prosecution of Rittenhouse sincerely argued that "sometimes, ya just got ta take a beatin'." Fortunately the jury and judge in that case were sane.
Whether you agree with Alex Jones or not, him being fined billions of dollars for using his free speech has set the precedent
