It is interesting. I game with my gay friend all the time. He dislikes twinks and faggot sounding, stereotypical gays and also hates trans. He likes manly man and chads. But he realizes manly man and chads are mostly straight. So he woefully accepts that his partner pool is extremely limited.
He doesnt like woke shit and gay shit in entertainment either. That being said, i dont mind normal people who happen to be gay hehehe.
Im sure that bayonetta creator is similiar. Just a normal nerd who happen to like muff. And they like sexy women. Not butchy ass women.
I've made the same point before. Gay guys have been side lined hard. They did not like female protagonists in general and they do like manly men that are now considered toxic. Straight guys may get a nice enough female character but gay guys get nothing but stupid stereotypical gays. Also gays never liked trans.
Unfortunately for them gay guys are not manly, I assume this is one of the reasons their relations rarely work.
