I stopped part way through Capaldi's run. Was losing interest as his episodes went on and when they did the Xmas special with River it just felt like a suitable point to stop since it was an ending for River and leaving it "open-ended" for Calapdi also worked.
Plus, it was a good ending. Sure it wasn't "they lived happily ever after" because in River's timeline the Library was next but the two still had years together which was close enough.
True. I stopped the first time when Bill came in because the whole “I’m a lesbian” every 5 minutes for annoying. Second time was the Rosa parks with intergalactic white supremacists. But it became clear they despised the audience. I have no interest in the new doctor plus the dude who thinks he is a girl sidekick. But there are plenty of old episodes I still haven’t seen so that’s good. Even my favorite doctor Tom Baker
I feel the same way. I stopped watching during her run and I hear they really ruined the character

The worst thing about this is isn't not really even hyperbole. It really was repeated over and over for some stupid fucking reason.
It would take a lot for me to come back. The new doctor and the trans companion doesn’t interest me.
