Marxism espouses a worldview of proles vs the bourgeoise. Ones are victims and the other oppressors. Cultural marxism is an abstraction of the original, away from the mere economic and into racism, sexism and anything, really. Instead of proles and bourgeoise, you have black and white people, gay and straight, women and men, etc. The narrative, worldview, and means of dealing with the problem are the same as in marxism, hence cultural marxism. The philosophical wankery that birthed it was based on marxist thought, made by marxist philosophers. It's the best name for the ideology: "cultural marxism" is exactly what it is.
Communism (as a movement), which is what you're referring to rather than marxism, shares with liberalism something far more important than an analysis of society, which is equality. It is due to said equality that heresies such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc originated and spread in society, specifically equality of liberal individuals. This is also fairly evident with normalization of "choose your own gender" larp that's also pushed on kids, along with making it so anyone can be a woman, man, removing references to gender, choosing personal pronouns, etc, but also various other things. Most of it serves two purposes, some ideological, most capitalist (consumerism, more control, expanding markets, atomization, etc).
Communism was the original marxist thought, because Marx was absolutizing the idea of the economic man. Communism is about economy. Cultural marxism is an abstraction of original marxism, as I said.
Not really, it's entirely built on liberalism, it's merely (...) [an] attempt to fulfill the potential of values such as equality (...)
Equality is a nebulous word nowadays. As far as equality of outcomes go, that's a marxist invention.
"cultural marxism" which serves as mystification of reality,
I won't debate liberalism.

Nonsense. It's a perfect description of the term.
