Nice doesn't cut it. Nice isn't going to protect or feed her (hypothetical) kids, or provide her with good genes. In fact, it might be an impediment. Strength, wealth and status is. The guy in and out of jail probably has the first, possibly the second. As for the ones chasing unemployed men, you probably don't want those.
I get that and learned these lessons later than I should’ve but learned them in my 20s. I mentioned the unemployment and jail thing because I’ve heard these very women whine about not being able to find good men.

And some people may not ever learn them. Don't regret that you learned them later than you'd have wanted, be happy that you learned them at all.
