They will respond by making more security and now you will have to go through a TSA check to go in a hospital. That's always the answer to these type things, because those in control want it to look like they did something, and they can't address the actual root of the problem because it takes away their supporters.
Good luck, I left the hospital I worked at because they couldn’t take patient restraint and security seriously, instead they basically started having scheduled cry sessions for the nurses who stupidly loosened restraints and were the cause of their own assault. Hospitals are more terrified of government regulations than anything else and fear actually treating abusive patients as a risk will begin cries of racism, transphobia, etc.
