I've been watching GenoSamuel's Comprehensive History of Chris Chan, and around ep21, there's a dude who completely fails at trolling Chris. The easiest man in the world to troll and he just whiffs so painfully. That's the kind of person increased attention attracts, and enough of those will kill that site imo
At the end of the day, anyone sufficiently interested in lolcows and edrama already knew about the site, it was effectively gatekept. In the public eye, it's harder to do so. Not that I particularly care either way, I've never posted and only check it once or twice a year when there's some kerfuffle going on. Think the last time I looked was when Shadman got arrested. But it's the principle of the thing to me. KF feels like one of the last places the old internet can still exist
