I remember, nearly a decade ago, I went to a local arts festival. They were promoting a "new play", there, about a straight girl, who decides to "transition", and how her boyfriend copes with her literally doing exactly this, while "staying together", "including changing definitions of their relationship"...
I obviously didn't go to the play (which they deliberately held in the town's worker's club, for maximum ideological pain), but I thought that was pretty harrowing and depressing at the time...
Look where we are now, where this is LITERALLY happening...

I also just remembered that this shit - rape, followed by abortion, followed by "transing", was *in the plot of the goddamn BBC show, The Coroner, also nearly a decade ago...

There is a "transgender" doctor who says that it's perfectly fine to cut off your breasts. "If you want them later on, you can always get them."

They both do permanent harm. Difference is that lobotomies were not pushed by a politicized lobby, but were a pathology coming out the medical profession itself. Which is when the downsides appeared, there was less reason to cover them up (though not none, as they will not happily admit to having harmed many people).
