I'm not sure. Is this how you interpret their defiance by repeatedly calling the guy a guy? If the police did something similar, my reaction wouldn't be to write a dissertation on free speech, but defiance.
It was my response to seeing several incensed Twitter responders posting sex offender stats broken down by gender, eg
...and there were others I can't find now, such as pie charts of male to female sex crime ratios, on top the many others merely kvetching about this offender being a man. This isn't defiance, it's seeking endorsement of a narrative from an authority they continue to recognise. Defiance would be 'Fuck you copper, I'll continue to make whatever legal posts I like, plus I consider your speech policing to be an attempt to shield child groomers from proper scrutiny. We all do.'
