I can't believe how bad it is with hardly anyone noticing. Sweden became a meme for their feminist tendencies, but Spain is far worse.

I think its more of a problem of Spain being simply irrelevant in any discussion. Almost any Mediterranean nation simply doesn't exist minus random headlines that pop up on occasion, so people don't even remember the last time it came up to connect the dots.
