For reference, "triple talaq" is a Muslim practice where the husband verbally repudiates his wife three times and then they are divorced. I know the muslims in the Philippines practice it (divorce is illegal for the non muslims there).

Muslim divorce is very male-centric. Women aren't allowed to have sex with another man until they've had multiple menstrual cycles so there is surety that any children they have don't belong to the former husband.
