What made you think Trump would lose? I figured due to the constant hammering about covid and massively over hyping it while scaring people into thinking it was killing people left and right. Also the Floyd riots and the media painting trump as an evil racist. I feel like without covid and the 2019 economy Trump would’ve won easy
The pandemic and the sudden economic collapse. It's close to impossible to win under those conditions. The miracle was that it was so close and that they needed Zuckerbucks, not that he lost.
Like you, before March 2020, I'd have said he'd win.
The major strategic miscalculation on Trump's part was not overhyping COVID when they were impeaching him on the cusp of an international pandemic. It's guaranteed that they would hold opposite positions if he had.

Morally, absolutely.
Politically, I'm not sure. The fact that later on Biden just condemned the violence without even addressing the 'police brutality' crap at all, suggests that he knew the violence was highly damaging to him and his party.
