Just curious, does anybody know if the present day Western gender rot is having any impact in China?
I'm wondering because so much of traditional Chinese thought is based in binaries. Male-Female is a core part of Confucian thought (and similarly in Taoism, etc.). The Ying and the Yang are Good/Evil, Light/Dark, Male/Female.
With that cultural background (plus the gentle suggestions of the CCP overlords), I wonder if Chinese society is at all protected.
This is why I believe China will be where the new civilization comes up. Not because of the CCP and their shenanigans, but because they have inadvertently protected their community.
Meanwhile the rest of the world can look back to technologically backward muslims taking over, as they rush to the ISIS bottom.
Not so in China, where a CCP collapse may come about at the same time, but the people will retain enough technical knowledge to rise again.
Depressing to think this but every country I could call home has lost the plot, and fuck Islam.
I'm not so sure. China wouldn't even have a civilization if it weren't for the West. Pretty much everything they have in modern China, they borrowed or stole from the West.
China had a civilization long before there was anything equivalent in the West. Same with Persia or India.
I mean the west stole gunpowder and paper from China. Modern numbers from the Arabs, who stole them from the Indians.
What is the point in being an Intellectual Property lawyer when talking about civilizational level events?
You have to go that far back to find a contribution by the Chinese? You’re making my point.
And what does Persia or India have to do with anything?
The modern Chinese are controlled by pretty tyrants and dictators. They create nothing of value, they only copy and steal from others. I have nothing against the Chinese people, but their acceptance of authoritarianism prevents them from ever being a great civilization.
Well if you want to fish that way, 5G technologies are mostly patented by Huawei. There is a ton of them, that are now being cross licensed, due to Huawei being pushed out of non-chinese friendly markets (rightly so) for spying with their gear. Doesn't change that the underlying technology is Chinese created. This is something I can state because its a field I am close to. I have no doubt they have innovations in industrial manufacturing either, because you can't be the world's factory and not have those, but I am not into that part of the chain.
"Acceptance of authoritarianism" in a country where you will literally never be heard of again, unless someone DNAs organs being donated.
Meanwhile we live under Biden, Jan 6 malarkey, FBI invasions for political theater, and the chopping of our children's futures, while being forced to accept experimental vaccines and lockdowns.
Thinking that the Chinese accept their government from good will, is about as naive as thinking Ukraine is the good guy and Russia man bad.
