Ukraine (Kievan Rus).
Russia was created by the Mongols, through their vassal-enforcer state Muscovy (Moscow, which was originally Ugro-Finnic just like Finland and Hungary).
“Russia” was established by the Rurik bloodline who was a Varangian Scandinavian. He took the Rus from the Khaganate
These fellows originally hailed from Novgorod prior to their Mongoloization, so perhaps tell what did they do to Novgorod and its people upon their return there.
Well simply put the Rurik line made the first tsar or Russia and were the main bloodline of rulers in Rus.
They subjegated and slaughtered Novgorod, replaced its republic with their Mongol style despotism. Today it's a city of 200,000, compared to Moscow's 11 million.
