Russia baited the dumb Georgian president to attack while it had it's whole force right over the border ready to jump in, and he stupidly took the bait and got rolled.
The point of the Georgian invasion was to secure the breakaway areas for Russia. Nothing whatsoever to do with NATO. Georgia isn't even in europe. The whole NATO thing was a post hoc rationalization Putin pulled out of his ass after invading Ukraine in 2014.
Also NATO thing being a last minute Casus belli is moronic. Everyone knows Russia would be hostile to any NATO countries bordering them. They see NATO as an anti Russian organization. They kinda has a history of fighting anti Russian alliances and are very weary of that.
Are you stupid? "Euromaiden happening" in no way changes the fact that Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014.
Also NATO thing being a last minute Casus belli is moronic.
It is moronic, but not in the way you mean. It's moronic on the part of Russia to come up with such a stupid pretext for a naked war of aggression.
They see NATO as an anti Russian organization.
It is. It's there primarily to stop russian aggression.
They kinda has a history of fighting anti Russian alliances and are very weary of that.
Cool. Then their shitty, poor country can get humiliated and lose yet another war of aggression. Keep clinging to the glory days of the bread lines of the USSR, commiecucks.
don't talk down to me. I know a lot more than you do
do not disrespect my time by posting a link to a voluminous wiki page without identifying and quoting the specific text that you believe supports your argument. it is not my job to waste my time reading through a large text doing your job for you trying to look for whatever part - if any - you think helps you.
I fully read through your link, every nook and cranny, every word, and can confidently announce that it 100% supports my position, and is 100% against your claim. I don't know why you would link it as proof of your claim. you clearly haven't read it.
We knew Russia would invade Ukraine in 2008 when it invaded Georgia under the exact same circumstances:
We wanted Georgia in NATO, Russia destabalized Georgia so it wouldn't qualify, we said it could join NATO anyway, and Russia invaded to stop it.
The sequence of events is exactly the same, and exactly the same outcome. But I guess you can't blame an alzheimers for forgetting history.
NATO had absolutely nothing to do with Georgia.

So let's just ignore Euromaiden happening

Seeing two side of s conflict doesn't make me a commie.
Also
Cope harder. When a 3rd of the army invading you made up with your fellow citizens then you might be loosing the plot.
"Georgia's powerful northern neighbor, Russia, has opposed the closer ties, including those expressed at the 2008 Bucharest summit where NATO members promised that Georgia would eventually join the organization."*
What's that silence? You're not even man enough to admit you were wrong?

It says exactly what I said in my comment.
I provided evidence to back up the claims I made, you didn't because you can't.
