The Caucasus mountains, from which Caucasian is derived, are somewhere between Europe and Asia. Is my understanding. Whatever "white" is people in that region have a lot of it. They're not, like, Han Chinese, or at least they didn't used to be.
Yeah, you're looking at specifically Armenia, Georgia, Chechnya, Dagestan, Azerbaijan, etc...
That's the Caucususesesses....
Amusingly, Chechen men, being Muslims, look... Slightly less white, but that's mainly due to them, uhh, trying to intentionally emphasise their "Muslim-ness" (see Putin's pet warlord, etc.).
But yeah, Armenians, Georgians and Azeris..? They're pretty damn white, lol... Especially the people of the first two (non-Muslim, non-Turkic) countries!
People move around. So it's not shocking that there are "white" genes in Central Asia and the Middle East. Non-brown hair and eye colors showing through are a hallmark of whiteness, whatever actual skin tone someone ends up having. You don't see it in, eg SE Asia or sub-Saharan Africa. The lightness of people's skin, provided they sit still long enough, tends to be determined by latitude and is a different thing than the hue of their skin. Thus Greeks who are of the Caucasian broad-racial-category have pretty dark skin but carry genes for things like blue eyes. American Indians from that latitude have pretty dark skin, too, but are of a different hue.
