It takes 2/3rd of states to call a convention and 3/4th to ratify. There aren't that many degenerate wacko states and if there is anything 3/4th of states can agree on (and there unfortunately probably isn't) it would be that the feds need a knee capping.
This is why the idea that there would be a push towards popular elections is bogus. The same factors that created the Great Compromise are still present. That is that lower population states still need to agree to the solution.
If anything, whatever the convention comes up with the high population states are probably going to try to call BS. Because they currently have a lot of power, whatever the leftist rhetoric on that topic is. They just don't have maybe proportionally as much power as would be justified by their massive (immigrant, non-American) population. It's still more than the other states. And, frankly, fuck these populations of NPCs.
