The Boys on the Tracks by Mara Leveritt.
Here's a twitter thread that summaries it in excruciating detail: https://twitter.com/bth_bill/status/1493441458396934146
What cinches it for me is the weird, demonic way these people can't tell a good lie. This poor woman literally starts with the beat cop first responders and works her way up to the feds. At each stage, either the cop is corrupt or someone gets to them. At each stage, any of them could say, "You're on to something big here, ma'am, but there's no hard evidence. I'm afraid my hands are tied" and she'd be done.
Instead, all of them tell her that they didn't say the things they said last time they spoke with her, tell her she's crazy, and tell her actually the misdeeds of the previous cop were ok and she has no ground to protest, please leave. It's like demons are so far removed from the Truth, they can't even fake it.
Well, their father is the father of lies, so, yes.
ETA: there was a Dutch documentarian doing a film on the Clintons years ago, one of the clips he dug up was a woman standing up at a 1984 Clinton for Governor campaign and calling him a thief, rapist and murderer.
