Nah you convinced me. I have upvoted you for what it’s worth. We can’t be distracted. And boy did I get distracted. The first game with a female protagonist I played was Kings Quest 4. Me being a kid I typed in dirty stuff but eventually played it seriously and beat it.
That’s just what I’ve heard. Yes I have heard that rationale and I understand it. That’s part of the charm of GTA is it’s edginess but I can see why ppl would roll their eyes at this announcement. But a female protagonist wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t coincide with caving to the usual crowd.
Like others have said, the very first GTA had a female protagonist. So that part is really just the smoke screen to label y'all misogynists and sexists and dismiss any criticism of the actual news : They're toning down the game.
And you're all falling for it, hook line and sinker. Ignore the female thing, it's a complete red herring.
As far as I know about 20-25% of PCs were female in WoW, this was way back, AC Valhalla and ME Legendary statistics do imply something around 20% of guys play as male. About 1 in 5 guys maybe 1 in 4 guys like to play a female character although there is a huge overlap with people playing both male and female characters in the same game on different runs so hard to tell exact numbers but male characters are more popular then female characters.
Personally in WoW I had both male and female chars but in single player I play male characters when ever possible.
I'm kinda surprised by that since most guys who play WoW play as female.

The guys do it because the argument is staring at female ass in the 3rd person is more fun than staring at male ass.
Like I said, the real story is how Rockstar wants to tone down the humour and remove "punching down". A female protagonist is a non-issue.

The saddest part is that is going away. Soon they'll be Body Type A or Body Type B.
