Well it's not. It's just way too long. I can post more of it in the textbox if you want, but I think the working HTML outline links are crucial in this case, because most readers should skip to the end.

It's just an Org Mode exported document, not even a blog.

This attack on GRRM because you don't like the way he looks

I dislike you because you're a liar. If I find out how you look, I might explain why you're a liar using your anatomy. For example, you might have narrow-set eyes.

Good points. The more concerning issue is that our civilization is so value inverted that people can no longer distinguish between holy and necromantic energies, preferring themes of relativism and rebellion. That is a sign of advanced decline and imminent imperial collapse.

Thanks. I still can't get into it, but that makes sense.

Ya'll are much smarter than Reddit, and more virtuous, since you can understand the point about alignment without throwing a nihilistic hissy fit.

Will the main character be able to earn money for her crack habit by prostituting herself to passing cars?

Well, I count 4 lies in your comment, which is characteristic of your accuracy, so I'll not be checking unless you name the supposed four errors.

First, Castle Volikhar is nowhere near Windhelm.

My mistake, thanks. Still, Solitude is the last place the Volikhar would want to infiltrate; it's full of Imperial paladins. Winterhold is also inadvisable due to pyromancers and Restoration mages. Dawnstar is an option, but haunted by Vaermina, who may be territorial with other Daedra. Vampires haunt Morthal, but it is provincial. That leaves Windhelm, with its conveniently underutilized Argonian population and casual murder of streetwalkers. The streets flow with blood, and the orphanage is packed!

And Argonians - with their high racial resistance to disease - are in fact the least likely race to contract Sanguinare Vampiris.

Thus making them good thralls for fighting lesser vampires, and candidates for eventually receiving Volikhar's true blood. Also good for feeding on without propagating. I don't argue Argonians are common vampires.

Alteration Absorb spells are similar to Destruction's Vampiric Drain.

more Argonians live in Riften than Windhelm?

Alternate Start mod: "I am an Argonian dockworker in Windhelm." (Only for Argonians.)

[[https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Windhelm_(Skyrim)][Windhelm]] has many more mentions of Argonians than [[https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Riften_(Skyrim)][Riften]].

Indeed: I alone have detected that islander Volikhar use Argonians as their infiltration vector, due to my keen appreciation of opportunistic reptilian psychology, particularly that of a Thief without racial offensive skills bonuses.

(Oh, and if you want to talk about betraying humanity for a crust of bread, Khajiit easily fit that too based on quests, as seen by the multiple occasions throughout the game where Khajiit NPCs turn out to be assassins working for the Thalmor).

Assassins are paid well in gold, not bread. However a hungry Argonian would probably trade a vampiric feeding for a few fish; he can just regenerate.

If, for example, you want to pick a race which would preferentially seek out the Ebony Blade and Mail it would be a Dunmer, not an Orc, since Dunmer worship Boethiah and Mephala while Orcs would hate Boethiah because of what happened to Malakath.

Mechanically, the Orc uses those artifacts. Both require murders, and he doesn't mind Requiem's excommunication. Ebony Mail's Muffle opens the Thief's Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Tertiary Sneak suits his warbow archery.

The nature of my project to identify Skyrim's mechanical racial archetypes eludes you; I describe it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/vc74uu/racial_implications_of_requiems_starting_skill/

Finally someone mounts a substantive challenge.

Khajiit and Argonians are both obviously Thief races in Requiem. From there, one observes the sociological conditions of the characters in-game: location, quests, wealth, etc. This is what I mean by "game mechanics": info useful for gameplay, not irrelevant book lore. From that, I infer what is really going on.

Khajiit are wealthy caravaneers dealing drugs and death under the table. The caravan masters won't risk getting banned.

Argonians are impoverished, resentful, exploited, excluded dockworkers. Their ghetto in Windhelm is adjacent to Volikhar island. Obviously the vampires would recruit thralls from this convenient amphibious population. Argonians have little to live for and nothing to lose. They are poorly organized and thus susceptible to vampiric infiltration. Mostly the Argonians steal from each other, because they are residentially isolated from the Nords. However, some of them are willing to literally betray humanity for a crust of bread.

Argonian Alteration drain spells are similar to vampiric spells, and their Restoration spells help Volikhar maintain control over lesser vampires. In sum, they make excellent thralls, converting to lycanthropy to enhance Unarmed damage, along with Alteration's Telekinetic Muscles.

Nords and Orcs are similar in that they are both heavy warriors. However, their ethos drastically differs. Orcs follow Daedra Malacath's way of strength, berserker raging to hit extremely hard. Nords follow the way of Aedras Talos and Akatosh, reviving their ancestral art of dragon shouts. Eventually the Orc wields the Ebony Blade and Ebony Mail of evil Daedras Boethiah and Mephala.

Thus there is a vast difference between the chaotic evil Orc black knight and the neutral good Nord white knight. (The Imperial is the lawful good paladin.)

I see that you are lobotomized by political correctness. Otherwise you would understand that a Orcish culture based on strength does not permit chiefs to grow old or allow women, who have drastically less upper body strength, to hold coveted male positions of authority.

I think I have sufficiently demolished your opinion; there is no need to address your every intuitive failure.

Why? Lore reasons? They feel Native American.

Maybe if it were going to my blog, you could argue that.

I have no idea. It's not my fault if the historical lore doesn't match Skyrim's racial starting skill bonuses. I am just trying to make a racist game more racist, not running their writing department.

Bosmer get claustrophobic indoors and especially underground, like Legolas. Something to roleplay if desired.

This post doesn't morally judge apocalyptic vampirism, much less theft. The point of roleplaying is to reflect the character's psychology. The fact that Argonians feel justified in stealing is a subtle redpill that the Stormcloaks are right. The mod obviously wouldn't say something so politically incorrect.
