No real idea why most milk here is UHT. It's more convenient and tastes the same (although some people say otherwise) but I have no idea when it started. You can still buy "fresh" milk in supermarkets but that's usually just a tiny section in a refrigerated shelf vs several pallets of UHT milk.

yeah seems like it's a response to limited fridge space in stores, space just really isn't a concern here
We need all the fridge space for sausages and cold cuts :D
