Just yesterday I commented that it seemed suspicious that this shooting clearly attracted less attention compared to the Gendron and Ramos ones. And that the media tries to reframe every shooter as White—if not White ethnonationalists—or at least White-passing mixed where possible.
I suspected that Sapirman was being downplayed simply because of the risk that trying to reframe him as White would be very difficult to do without also potentially arousing 'anti-Semitism'. After all, his Jewishness can't really be hidden once everyone knows the name 'Sapirman', and most of these outlets like the NYTimes are riddled with Jews from top to bottom who surely know it.
But now it suddenly looks as though they're going for this narrative anyway, based on some 4chan posts? So they're aiming for what looks like an incredulous Jewish neo-Nazi narrative?

Of course those of us who have seen enough hate crime hoaxes and "stormfront"-postings know that isn't incredulous at all.
