They could have been stifled before because they were previously loopy and obsessive. Up until relatively recently social media gave quite a few warnings
Many probably were. But you know what doesn't do wonders for paranoid conspiracy theories? Shutting down any and all discussion about the topic with angry zeal the moment it comes up.
Its a self feeding cycle, in which the only real effective move is to not play into their fantasies by giving them the oppression they need.
No, but it would probably help to enforce rule 16 a bit more. Remind them that no, an article being written by a "Stein" doesn't mean some rando in Israel is out to kill them, it just means a New York based journalist is being a dilweed again. And there's no lack of New York based journalists it seems.
Alternatively. Enforce it more neutrally and equally ban everyone who shits up threads going "the antisemites, they are everywhere, ruining everything, talking out loud! Its ruining this great website!"
Because that's my big beef with it. Everyone who complains about it, does so incessantly and is just as guilty as making the place worse. Especially those who go into multi-day slap fights over and over that convinces nobody of anything.
I agree with this, for every social media platform. It's spam and incessant harassment that gets annoying. If someone drops the zionist conspiracy talking points occasionally I think most people would just ignore it. At least when it comes to banning, that shouldn't be a bannable offense. On more censor-heavy platforms I can understand those posts getting deleted.
Anti-semite is not a fucking identity you absolute idiot. It's like saying "T-shirt wearers". If you wear the t-shirt, you're a fucking t-shirt wearer. Stop wearing it if you don't want to be a t-shirt wearer. Same as stop saying anti-semetic things and you won't be an anti-semite anymore.
Rule 16 is about identifiable groups, not groups you decide to join on your own optionally and can leave at any time.
What next, fucking Justin Bieber fans as a protected class ? You truely are a grade A moron. I'm starting to think you're a stormcuck yourself.
