It's a Neo-Con & Socialist coalition. And it's perfectly reasonable.
The Neo-Conservatives were always the militant wing of the Fabian Socialists. They were Fabians who understood that they couldn't just keep pushing the bullshit peace-nik line that the Left have been courting since before WW1. The Neo-Conservatives were just Fabians who understood that you had to kill people to compel them into the Fabian World Order, and avoiding that fact was ignoring political reality.
Meanwhile, the Neo-Liberals were just Fabian Socialists. And the Progressives are just Socialists who are angry they aren't the elite.
OG neocons are former Trotskyites who moved into and co-opted conservative movements by adopting (or faking) socially conservative positions combined with hawkish foreign policy and neoliberal economics. Astute observers might note the contradictions with those positions.
Note that O'Reilly isn't actually a former Trot. He just historically followed their lead so I threw the label at him.

We said the same thing.
