Ukraine's ruling class is a kleptocracy for the benefit of the Global American Empire. Ideologically, the empire is opposed to nationalist movements like Azov. However, the geopolitical reality is that they need a fighting force to hedge against Russian interests. They can't spin up a fighting force that actually encompasses their liberal, rootless, cosmopolitan values because no one is actually willing to die for that bullshit so you get this peculiar arrangement of leveraging Blood & Soil nationalism as a motivating force to defend what is, in effect, an outpost for a virulently anti-nationalist global hegemony.
That makes sense. Zelensky is clearly a stooge for American interests. The unwillingness of the US to broker a peace agreement gives the game away.
Thanks mainly to the opinions of Konstantin Kissin, I was almost convinced the Russians shouldn't have gone to war, but the Russians have legitimate interests they're defending and the US is pretending Putin is attempting to expand his sphere of influence when this is, historically speaking, the continuation of a long-standing territorial dispute, and Putin's concern over NATO moving east is certainly justified. It's not like my own leaders haven't gone to war under false pretenses for dubious reasons. (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iran, Iraq--am I missing any?) So this high-minded, pious anti-Russian rhetoric coming from the Biden regime and his press lapdogs and their NPC drones flying the Ukrainian flag is absolute horseshit.
What makes me even more certain that this opinion is correct is the degree of anti-Russian sentiment deliberately created by corporate media since Trump's election (and before that for all I know). Why else would there be a coordinated effort to paint Putin as this evil mastermind bent on conquering Europe?
The media and their masters are playing a very dangerous game with a nuclear superpower. Where the fuck do they get their arrogance? Assurances from the State Department, probably.
