If you've played Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Armello, or know anything about the War of The Roses, or the Japanese Sengoku Jidai, you understand their perspective. It's too dangerous to give any legitimacy to an illegitimate king, who will absolutely fall, because you will become the enemy of whomever replaces him. So, it's best to ignore him completely.

One of these games are not quite like the other haha
