It wasn't a super compelling story, kind of a weird mix between slice of life and adventure, but at least it was done by people who actually care to understand their history; not just "Wakanda-ize" it.
And by the sound of things, not just repeat the same tired plot in all black fiction (by which I mean black American fiction). That is "slavery/racism bad," "white people bad," rap music, and basketball. They have no other stories to tell and nothing else to say. Just endless whining.
