I've seen those same signs coming from NC into VA.
I'm convinced they just put those signs up to get people to slow down, similar to how police will park an empty car on the side of the highway to make people slow down, or how businesses will install fake cameras to prevent shoplifting.
I don't think law enforcement has the resources to manage a drone operation. Capturing video and storing it, analyzing it, etc. is complicated enough as it is.
Ran across a video of the birds aren't real guy awhile back. Strange, but less degenerate than a lot of other youthful obsessions. He was supposedly quitting the 'movement', so birds might be real again by now.
It would completely make sense to use drones for monitoring traffic, rather than helicopters. Let's just hope society crashes before there's no place that isn't being monitored. Those drones that do high res videos of entire cities and areas are a little concerning. Any person or vehicle can be tracked back to it wherever it started, hours or days before.
She's delusional. Birds aren't real.

Some do, some dont. But the threat of surveillance is often as effective as surveillance itself.
