All of the criticisms of this actor have been about her acting, I have not once seen a WE WUZ post of her gain traction. I imagine the directors are mostly to blame, there are stints of monotone and wooden lines delivered throughout the show, even from Ewan McGregor.
She does not sell the character. She may be good in other roles but not every actor is good in any role. Robert Downy Jr. is a great actor that people like but he plays very similar roles and that is ok. She was not good in this character and only ended up hurting her career, although I understand she is getting her own series, apparently diversity trumps everything now.
I've actually warmed up to the character tbh (shocking, I know). I was going to wait for the last episode to air before posting a thread because there was a lot of good mixed in with the bad of Kenobi. Despite the twitter bullshit, I do think disney has matured a bit since the disaster that was TLJ. I will withold final judgement until the last episode tho.
