Speaking as someone who had a 20 year career in the Navy as a box kicker, that is not an unskilled job, despite it's reputation. It isn't a job for older people, either; I can't do it any more, I am to old and broken now.
Amazon can't treat their dock workers like cattle any more, so they are going to have to improve conditions, and from what I've heard about management, they are going to resist change.

How successful do you think they'll be at replacing the job with robots? (which is Amazon's stated goal)
For routine stuff, sure, but you will always need people around to handle stuff the automated systems are not programmed to deal with.
