This is where a father would have been the correcting influence because violence is where this goes. I'm not saying same-sexed parents are bad, I'm saying if you have two people who have no filter on their stupidity in a relationship, bad shit will happen. Same sex relationships have a long way to go before they integrate into society and find 'gender balance' dynamics like straight people do, that helps us learn and teach our children to grow up and be healthy, normal, society contributing adults.

Male and Female gender (polite way of saying sex without making it about the physical act, not the crazy bullshit idea) roles exist in a society as a form of cheat code or form letter. It's something to make it easier to help define what is normal and stable without having to start from scratch and raise wild animals to act human. Under ideal circumstances, it helps kids accept who they are and what to expect from others around them. We need this for same-sexed couples and it is going to take generations for society to adapt to it.
