I prefer do-ers like DeSantis over sayers like Trump. On his watch Jan 6 happened, and the bogus narrative was built. On his watch BLM got to get away with shit.
Trump made all the signals, but the vast majority of it was nought. Tried once. Where as DeSantis has shown his ability to push back, and actually done something about woke-o orgs, partisan media & school groomers.
Not sure what either of your links prove, other than he supports dogs & police? I mean why wouldn't a governor support their enforcers? Unless you see rioters as your enforcers.
I think I get where you're coming from with regard to big government, and I agree. My question is how will you solve for the existing big government and overreach?
I don't think canceling pensions will work, unless again the idea is to get rid of the police. Not sure how that would translate again into the real world.
Also the police getting pensions needs gatekeeping. But then again everything is broken, so its all moot.
I don't dispute any of the things you say, other than the overarching predication that these solutions would require good faith actors in government that will continue for a 100 years, which to me seems naive.

Bingo, that's why he could get elected under the noses of the bureaucratic machine but couldn't get anything done.
The best thing about Trump, and it places him above any other president in my lifetime, is that he didn't start a new war with anyone.
