At this point, it is abundantly clear that Disney has a literal written policy that all future television shows and movies, even those ostensibly centered on legacy characters, must focus on the establishment and promotion of new minority characters. The bait and switch is just too transparent and predictable for it to be anything other than official guideline.
I wonder if it lends credos to the idea that anytime they show the original heros' that Disney needs to pay Lucas money.
Because Disney has gone out of their way to purposely release nothing that is a follow up to Luke, Leia, and Han and specifically forcing new characters into the mix.
As far as I know, Lucas sold Star Wars entirely. Regardless, the Star Wars and Marvel story groups, as well as the Disney executives, are 100% ideologically converged. They don’t need financial motivations to inject wokeism into their purchased IP. Indeed, they appear to value ideology over money, although such stances are markedly easier in the age of ESG.
