In the early reporting for the UK, they also ruled out the vexes. My theory right now is that the kids are catching vex shed by people around them in addition to infection by this adenovirus that the MSM is mostly focused on.

Your theory doesn't make sense. If you want to blame the COVID response then masking would be a more likely culprit.
