The pharmaceutical companies making them don't even need to produce an adequate product anymore.
As long as they can have governments mandate their product on the population with no liabilty concerns, there is no incentive to improve their products.
What is happening currently is unprecedented with regards to vaccines in the U.S.
There has never been a push like this to force even the youngest members of our populace to take a therapeutic that is this substandard for a virus that has a negligible mortality rate for all people younger than 70.
The vaccine improving might actually be a worse outcome for humanity.
My biggest fear in all of this is that we create a Marek's Disease for humans. I think there are evil people who would love to create that scenario as a means to have absolute control over the population.

The current outcome - millions of people wrecking their immune response - while disastrous, isn't as bad as force-evolving a lethal superstrain at the same time as having to deal with all the negatives of these jabs.
