Let's be honest, it doesn't matter who makes the final. Ukraine will win, by a landslide, and the whole thing is pointless because of it. I'm so sure of that, I gave my family money to bet on them to win before they even won the semi-final.
I feel bad for the people of Turin, who had their city's big moment turned into Kiev's propaganda.
To be fair, Turin (or the host broadcaster, anyway) hired Mika, Mika (remember him, from like, more than a decade ago??), as the main host, who not only isn't Italian, but appears to not even be able to speak Italian, so...
I get the feeling that they may not have given too much of a shit, even from the beginning, if the only criteria for hosting was "washed up, semi-famous and gay", lol...
Last year was a tranny. This year it's Mika...
Also the fact that Rome didn't even bother putting in a final bid, to host, despite the fact that Maneskin are from Rome, and specifically said they wanted the contest to be held there (never mind that it has hosted before, and has a suitable venue ready)...
So... I really don't think Italy, or indeed Turin, care all that much (the public, maybe, but certainly, seemingly, not the people who put the money into it)...
Though I agree that it is likely a foregone conclusion, yes. Despite how much I generally dislike their song, and the pink furry hat, lol...
Ah well, at least your family might make some money on it, then! Though given how short the odds must have been, I can't imagine it will be much money, sadly, ha...
I would probably go with Spain, as second favourite, from what I have seen, so far. But honestly, who knows? Anything that isn't rap, or the faggy degeneracy described above, gets my vote. Almost literally anything...
Although honestly, if the Netherlands "anthem to depression" or Greece's "anthem to dying of Covid (together)", win, I just might fucking end myself, lol... Coz fuck that shit.
Oh God, I barely remember who that is. Scraping the bottom of the barrel then scraping the ground below it.
The people there do care, not so much about the show, but just about having a major event in their city again. There hasn't been one since the Winter Olympics in 2008. (Interesting fact, I was there.)
The odds were something like 6/11. Ukraine are overwhelming favorites because even a blind man can see it will be rigged for them.
Covid is old news, I doubt Greece will win. They'll fail like their economy did a decade ago.
Greek fascists here (honestly wouldn’t surprise me, at this point), perhaps..??
Or the people who genuinely seem to follow you around and downvote literally whatever your comment may be, I suppose, lol…
But yeah. Agreed.
Haha I don’t understand those odds, though! We don’t do odds like that, here…
It’s essentially $1.00 means guaranteed victory, $2.00 means sort of a 50% chance, etc.
So say a team is very likely to win, it will be $1.10 (the lowest odds you will ever really see), whereas a complete upset would be… $5.50, or $6.00, maybe.
Interestingly, I’m not sure how that would work in the system you guys use!
I think Ukraine would probably be at ~$2.00, here, say, but I would have to check…

This will be the only thing Ukraine wins all year.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted for this…
