If we're screwing around and throwing international treaties at it, I'm presuming that this bypasses the states entirely and is decided at Federal level.
They want to try to force an unilateral lockdown and mandate response on ALL of the states.
Red states got out of lockdown faster and some didn't even lockdown at all like South Dakota. Red states generally stopped mask mandates by now. Red states generally didn't have any vaccine mandates and vaccine passports.
This is a brazen attempt to destroy our 10th amendment rights that each state has through the vehicles of a WHO pandemic treaty and amendments to the IHR treaty.
I pray that after two full years of this bullshit we have enough people telling them to go to hell with this authoritarianism.
The good news is that this will likely have the opposite effect. If Dr Commie tries to actually use this power, a bunch of states will just not listen, which would be a severe blow to DC's authority in general.
Masks on planes were an annoyance but them being brazen enough to try to lockdown the entire country's populace again or force vaccines on everyone again after seeing the harmful effects of lockdowns and the side effects of these shitty vaccines gives me hope that it won't end well at all for them.
I am alarmed by what they are trying to do but I have a weird sense of optimism of people's response to it.
Sure their leftists will get their NPC firmware updates and follow along but I doubt the right and independents will make this mistake again.
