I don't even care. Even if it hurts Florida as well, DeSantis has done the unthinkable: create costs for woke corporations and the "pansexual child" they rode in on.
I think it's an old Chinese saying: "execute one to warn a hundred others".
Right now, there is a tax on sanity. The way to defeat this is to create taxes on insanity.
It's not going to hurt Florida. If anything it is going to be a net gain for Florida because Disney is stuck there. DW isn't some corporate office you can up and move. They're too heavily invested with too much infrastructure built up.
If. I've been rather busy so I haven't followed this closely, but I did see some people crowing that some counties would have to raise taxes to cover what Disney was doing on its own so far.
If it doesn't hurt Florida, all the better. But even if it does, excellent move. You can only win if you are willing to make sacrifices.
Coincidentally, I was just watching a video about Bermuda, which said that it has banned franchises - because the government wants the people there to benefit from tourism, instead of multinationals.
Imagine that, a government that cares about the locals and not MNCs.
If we can force Disney to pay back these bonds, that is an excellent point. But if this was Disney pushing their debts off onto us, then it wasn't ever a victory for sanity.

Those people are retarded. Disney was avoiding paying 200 million dollars in county tax to the counties Disney world is in.
