I'm Irish, I'd bet a small fortune that few very Irish children had any sexual talks like that with either parent. Even now in "progressive" times I'd bet that it's rare, and few very of us ended up with sexual issues, or deviancy because of it. Children work these things out on their own, and there's nothing wrong with that. A child is far more likely to be corrupted by liberal sexual education, than if they never got it, and that's likely the plan.
