Trump did some good things but he dropped the ball on covid, didn’t stand up to the thug rioters, kept saying follow the plan, and wasted so much time on Twitter and getting into pointless spats.
Trump is crushing desantis in primary polling. There’s no reason to run our two best candidates directly into each other, especially given their respective ages. Trump can have the next term, desantis can have the two after. We’re gonna need more than 12 years to right this ship anyways.
Why the fuck would you run a 78 year old man who turns off half the electorate automatically when you have an articulate effective governor in his 40s?
I was arguably the most pro Trump person in my entire family. I even successfully persuaded my parents to vote for Trump twice.
However after seeing Trump completely fail on stopping COVID hysteria and completely fail at stopping the fortification, i am done with him.
My parents don't like talking politics at all yet these days they constantly praise Ron Desantis.
Ron is much more palatable than Donald to large swathes of the populace.
We would be retarded to run the Donald again when we have a better option.
I hope our primary voters come to understand this.

The only reason they were able to pull off the midnight balloting is because Trump is so viscerally hated.
It is impossible for the media to induce hatred of DeSantis to the level where it matches Donald Trump.
You are making a big mistake when you assume running Trump is fine just because the media will demonize any GOP nominee.
It is true the media will try but it is not possible to get half of the country to hate DeSantis as much as Trump.
Sure the left will still never vote for DeSantis but independents will.
