You just know this dirtbag has been working on this article for a while, and yet they play this game so they can put "could not immediately be reached for comment" in the article. Lots of people don't check their personal (non-work) email accounts that often.
Which isn't to say people should reply to requests for comment like this, just that the way they go about it displays an utter lack of integrity.
Another scummy thing they'll do is email asking for comment at like, 2 or 3 in the morning. So, of course the recipient doesn't see the email but oh well! The article goes live at 5am and "He couldn't be reached for comment 🤷♂️"
