My preference is 1) DeSantis 2) Trump 3) bearded Cruz 4) Rand Paul. I don't think Rand could even win as Democrats hate him as much as Republicans hate Hillary, and Cruz is slimy but at least he's smart as a whip.

Cruz nearly beat Trump the first time, and that was sans beard when he looked like a twerp. Never Trumpers + pragmatists, he could get the nomination.
But whatever, the point is that your belief turns out to be DeSantis or it's 8 years of Biden. That's not "anyone" that's "one". Not Cruz, not Paul, not Romney, not Huckabee, not Haley, not Rubio, not anybody else.
That's fine, I'd like DeSantis to run, but any one of the above including Trump would beat Biden if there's no cheating. To me the only question is how much cheating and the only reason Trump would lose is they'd cheat more. It'll be hard for the media to make anybody else into literal Hitler, so fewer people sent a dozen ballots will fill them all out.
Trump will never win in 2024. He is the one candidate that guarantees us a loss.
We have a better shot of winning 2024 with anyone other than Trump.

There are no worse candidates for 2024 than Trump because those candidates won't even get past the primaries.
Romney will never become the nominee ever again. He has become irrelevant to any future discussion for the presidency.
Rand Paul and Ted Cruz will also never win the primaries.
I like Rand but he doesn't have a chance.
Ted Cruz is hated by nearly almost as many people as Trump so he is not a good alternative either.
There are only two Republicans in the last 36 years who even lost Tarrant County in Texas and that list consists of Cruz and Trump.
