And the comments are pure cancer.
People would rather believe that all Russians are pure irredeemable evil, for no reason at all, than even entertain the idea that literal Ukrainian nazis might be false flagging to drag NATO into a ground war.
Meanwhile, the shit I see on social media, deliberately broadcast by Ukrainians, is more psychotically violent than anything I’ve seen from Russians.
The most insane thing I've seen out of Russia is the threat against other countries in the region to deter them from joining NATO, which makes this the perfect time to join NATO while Russia is threatening you but is too busy to follow through on that threat. If I was Putin, I would be making things very clear: "Ukraine is a unique case. The Ukrainian government is uniquely illegitimate because it was created by American regime change, declares anyone who represents the democratic will of the Ukrainian people to be guilty of treason and has been waging war against its ethnic Russian minority. Don't overthrow your democratically elected governments and don't murder thousands of Russians, and we won't have a problem."
Also all the Ukrainians governments since 1991 have been democratically elected. Including the both parliamentary interim governments, the first one back in 1991 with the vote by the Supreme Soviet that just turned into the Rada.
And, as to speak of the parliament, the Ukrainians never even destroyed their parliament with tanks. Unlike the Russians in 1993. When the Russians killed hundreds (officially) or thousands (estimate) of their fellow Russians in central Moscow, in just 2 days that didn't even involve almost any actual fighting, just chaotic slaughter of mostly bystanders - people randomly machine gunned in the streets. Very and typically Russian. Which is how a coup looks like (the tanks), and was the second in Moscow in 2 years.
Also 92% have voted for the Ukrainian independence from Moscow in 1991 (with 84% of voters taking part in the referendum). The "yes" voters included the majority of the ethnic Russians. Since you suddenly care about democracy so much, and for the will of the Russian minority (who in a large part are descendants of the colonialists who have replaced the millions of Ukrainians systematically exterminated by the Soviets).
As always, don't be shy and tell me how much do you like these facts, and should Putin mention any of it.
