Just saw a few headlines from MSM about Alabama making a law denying “gender affirming care” to trans youth. I hate that term and there has to be a caring but firm person who tells these people I understand you may feel a certain way but it’s not reality. I don’t see why telling them they can’t make life altering changes til they are an adult is a bad thing. I’d feel horrible as a parent if I pushed this on my kid and they had serious regrets at an older age and I think in the coming years we will see that.
I was already tired of the inordinate amount of lgbt content before the trans thing started and was also tired of being told I’m a homophobe for going with what the Bible says despite explaining that I’m not going around bothering anyone.
I do wonder with trans stuff have they pretty much run off any expert who doesn’t go along with the delusion?
Yeah I saw one of them unironically invoke the "Gender is a social construct!" phrase in a chat the other day when arguing for trans-rights and I thought "my man you are really behind the times". I didn't bother to probe what his thought process was (there probably isn't one, and I don't mud wrestle with pigs) but I don't understand how A) Something being a social construct invalidates it playing an important or necessary role in culture stability, or B) if it's only a social construct why I have to participate in your mental illness. You can act like a female, bunny rabbit, or attack helicopter all you want but it's not real.
Transgenderism is explicitly about separating the biology from the social aspects of male and female. It's a declaration that people are what they say they are, not what they actually are. The fundamental principle of freedom is that the observer gets to decide. As I like to put it: You can declare yourself a genius, but if I think you're a retard, I'm gonna say so.
