Macron at 28% of the vote
-
Le Pen at 21%
-
Mélenchon at 16%
-
#Ourguy Eric Zemmour at 10% 😢😢😢

Nothing wrong with Le Pen, though her attempts to be more acceptable to the mainstream has left an opening for Zemmour. But Zemmour has been expanding the Overton Window, making Le Pen look more moderate, and that is very good.
The only way we can improve anything is by forcing establishment politicians to move in the right direction. Even if Le Pen won, nothing would improve (I do not think she would get majority support in the new parliament), just like things continued to go to hell under Trump.
Trump should have stacked the government with loyalists so he can conduct a self-coup against the swamp.
I don't think that's even possible even for someone ideally suited for the task. But Trump, while having very good political instincts, was a very bad strategist.
He did. They were just loyalist to another country.
