Kissing Disney's ass is coming back to bite him in his. This is why he should be Trump's running mate and not his replacement for 2024. The padawan has much to learn.
I'm not going to say this out of a dislike for Trump. I went to many of his rallies and voted for the man. But, objectively, looking at his Presidency, Trump was a failure.
The FBI and DoJ falls under the administration of the President's office. The director of the FBI and the Attorney General serve at the pleasure of the President. So what did Trump do? He kept his political enemy's FBI director and appointed Sessions as AG who was intent on doing nothing to save his ass instead of serve his president. So what happened is instead of using the FBI and DoJ to persecute his political enemies, his political enemies instead turned his own political investigative & prosecution infrastructure against him. And the rest of his cabinet was full of his business cronies easily ousted from their positions.
He couldn't even implement his core policy, The Wall, without private funding.
Even his VP betrayed him.
Unfortunately, regardless of how much I like Trump's messaging and believe that he could be a President of the people, I also believe he doesn't have the political network to run a government.
De Santis, being a governor has developed that infrastructure. He'll only needs to scale it up, but he has all of the positions of control manned with people he knows at the state level which isn't that much different at the national level.

The bigger issue is that Trump let the wolves feast on his supporters. Trump himself is doing fine. It's his supporters that have been killed, held as political prisoners, and driven to suicide.
His treatment of his supporters and his fervent promotion of the jab.....yeah, no....Trump did his thing. He tried. We tried. For me, it's over. Unless someone else wants to wow me, I'm voting De Santis in 2024.
As I've said before, I don't have much faith in politicians, but if you want to keep the faith, I implore you to hold them accountable. If Ronnie starts getting pozzed up and doing the wrong things, you have to be ready to go after him for it. So many on the right just cling to the next "based guy" and then commit themselves to defending them. The relationship between us and politicians shouldn't be that way. They are supposed to be there to serve us. If they aren't we must discard them, or even ruin them if they betray us hard enough. We need to have a more adversarial attitude toward them and push them around to get them to do things we want.
