Who will last at CPS? A man who because of testosterone isn't ruled by sympathy so can set aside all the horrible shit he sees, or a person who gets off on child abuse. But they won't even hire the man because he's not 'nurturing' and has much better options.
One of the few things I've changed on is I used to be more big government, that they could protect kids, provide for the common welfare and such as. Now I see how these orgs are inherently corruptible and once corrupted are actually worse than nothing.
Without CPS some more individuals will be abused that could be protected, with CPS many more normal people get abused for letting their kids outside on their own or showing them that 'offensive' scene from Kindergarten Cop.
My go to story is my three adopted siblings. They came from an abusive, neglectful home where the mother was constantly sleeping around with sordid characters. Despite the obvious neglect and awful living situations, it took my parents years to finalize their adoptions because the sorry excuse for a mother fought tooth and nail to keep "her property," and the law was on the biological mother's side, circumstances be damned.
It's downright depressing....
