Moral panics are always wrong, or at least overblown.
They were bad when they were organic. Now they are manufactured. And it is quite disturbing that the regime can create one out of whole cloth.
Western propaganda has always been the envy of the 'authoritarian' states. Even Goebbels said he wished he was as good at it ass the BBC.
It wasn't a moral panic. As Freddie Deboer has admitted, social conservatives are almost always right with their dire predictions.
